Missing shoreline in ETO & MTO installs

I need help - I have installed
Europe & UK mesh - Josiah Haut
CFS2 Coast Europe & c2eurwater - R. Ludowise
Scenedb/world/texture - Stiz - Cfstex1&2 eurotexture & watertexture1&2

In freeflight/QC (except from a Pacific airbase) I do not see any shoreline/river/road

What do I need to do to get Stiz's textures to show in Europe?

Thanks Rami

It was your guide that started me off again on trying to get these shorelines. Unfortunately only had the SdC LandclassBeta3 and as I could not get your way to work put it down to that file. I had tried for days to get the Beta4.

I'll now give it another go and come back to you

It's not enough to have SDC's LC. You also need all of SDC's EURW bgl's. The LC only has custom ground textures. The EURW bgl's contain lakes, rivers, secondary streams, roads, shorelines, and coastlines.

There are a lot of them. It is a major task downloading all of them, but when you're done you'll have Euro scenery that is comparable to PTO scenery.

When you have all of SDC's bgl's installed, you won't need the eurowater. In fact, it will conflict. You won't need the CFS2 Coast Europe either. SDC's bgl's contain water and coastal flattens.

The EURW files will work with any texture set you want to use. The LC beta will also. You can just replace the textures with any other comparable textures with the same names.

Basically, if you have all of SDC's stuff, you can make Europe look the way you want it to look by picking and choosing from the various textures and texture sets that are available.

Yes...But there are some areas of Europe that SdC's coastlines / water do not cover. Eastern Europe, Finland, and most of the Eastern Mediterranean. Sander's Global_Exclude layer takes care of the ones inside his area. :jump:

This is true. However, Sander's global exclude appears to overlap some of the area in the east that's not covered by Sander's bgl's, leaving the overlapped area blank.

Thanks Ettico and Rami

Sorry not got back sooner have been setting up a TEST install as per Rami's guide.

I have found my solution by installing SdC's EURW. It is not an accurate match to the shorelines but better than the nothing I had. I changed his 'vshoresu.bmp' for that of Stiz to get a more european look

I was not impressed with the visual result of SdC's textures so made no change to my ETO install. I had decided to look for alternate textures before trying again thanks for the suggestion Ettico that this is the way to go.

SdC's shorelines do not match R. Ludowise's water. They only match SdC's water. If you have both installed, you should either remove R.L.'s water or use SdC's global excludes.

Just got my ETO Basic Sanders install up, did a little rework of my textures, so far so, good perhaps a little fine tuning.......
