SimTech did an excellent P-39 that is still available through flightsim.com and if I remember correctly it ported over with minimal problems, but as for the P-63, I'm not aware of any being produced. Moving to true FSX aircraft, that would be zero models available I'm afraid and if anyone is developing one, it hasn't been made public yet that I'm aware of and so probably not anything that will happen anytime soon.

This is the freeware gem Ed is referring to:

P-39Da.jpg

It can be downloaded here:

To fly it in FSX, you need to replace the prop disk texture: Look inside the texture folders and replace the prop3.bmp bitmap with the new DDS bitmap I attached in this ZIPfile: View attachment 17884

BTW: You gotta love the animated cockpit "car doors" (Exit 1 key: Shift-E)

OUTSTANDING!!! I :salute::salute: you...I have gone to the site via your link, downloaded the files and after signing off here will go have a blast. That is what is so excellent about this site, Someone, Always knows....even the obscure questions has someone to give an answer. I remember having the Simtech aircraft a really long time (sim time) ago....I'm very pleased to see someone is re-developing it.... Thank you once again....I'll post how it does on my system.

P-39D report

after autoloading from the exe and changing the prop3bmp to the dds. I opened up FSX and tried to go for a flight...Aircraft loads well, sounds are good, it is the old simtech product...unfortunately the gauges and upper panel did not load. I tried several ways of trying to find the missing gauges, and upper panel...something in FSX just did not let it load. However it does load very well in FS9 and is a great deal of fun. The P-39 is one of my favorite aircraft, so it was very enjoyable to have it to kick around in. For now it has to be in FS9..

Hay Jarhead , I had the exact same problem . Maybe someone will come up with a solution . It would go great with recent Solomon Islands scenery .

I had the same problem with the missing VC panel texture. I assumed it was an alpha channel problem and worked on it for weeks to no avail. The gauges, I probably fixed that with FSPanel Studio. The odd part about the panel texture was that others who had it installed didn't have the same problem.
