Much Needed in FSX!

And Bjoern, the Do-328?

Someday I'll say "Ah, screw it!" and make the model public. Until then, it's "Ah, let's fix this!", "Oooo, here's another thing to add!", "Frak, this needs to be redone." all the way to Reno (and back).

AMEN. lol. Huub, where'd you get the Peashooter? And Bjoern, the Do-328? I'd love to have them.

James, the Peashooter is done by Wolfi for CFS2 and available here in the library. The repaint is done by Bomber_12th and also available here.
The Peashooter works without problems, however you will need to put some gauges in as the original ones won't display.

Cheers,
Huub

In some ways I agree with Bjoern. That there are more "wanters" than "builders" has already been hashed out in another thread. So no need to rehash all this.
P.S.
I am never "in between projects"!:jump:

I'm sure I saw screenshots of one being developed over at FSDeveloper.com some time last year.

Don't know how far along it is now but the exterior model was pretty much complete.

Someone mention hash????????? :monkies: :d

I agree with Piglet and Bjoern on this point; learn to build. Years ago, the only Porter was payware. I didn't have the money, so I built one myself and put it out as freeware. Granted, it wasn't very good at the time, and man did the people tell me so! However, I kept working on it, reshaping it, adding to it, and hit the forums to learn how to make it beter and better. After a couple of years of playing around with it, I ended up with a very nice model that I have flown now for five years. Once I put my mind to it, I did it. Anyone can do it. It just takes time to learn and the will to make something better. I also never put it out in public due to all the crap I endured during the learning phase, even though it was stated up front I was a rookie.

Yes, learn how to do some of this stuff, i.e. scenery, a/c design, AI work, etc., and the community would grow faster and stronger. Up until about 2002, almost everything was freeware. It was a closer community back then. Why? Because others participated in trying to do things rather than sitting on their hands or begging. Have I suggested people make some models? Sure I have. I just asked Piglet to make something. He is better than I am! LOL! However, I know I can make something if he doesn't. I am starting on something that does not exist in FS yet. Why? I want it and I can do it. It will just take me longer than others, due to my limited time and the other hobbies I have (plastic modeling and model railroading .... oh and work too!). Everyone should put their mind to it and at least try it. The more involved one is in the hobby, the better the hobby as a whole will be. I agree with Bjoern on this; FSX doesn't need a thing. Everything made is just an answer to a wish, but is really unneccesary to enjoy the sim. We are all spoiled now, and want our favorite plane / airport to fly in or from. So be it. BUT .... there is always a but ... when your favorite doesn't surface, learn to build it. After the cost of the program (FSDS), or with GMAX being FREE, aircraft from then on are all free.

Off of the soap box. Have a great day, all!

Don

Hey Stiz,

wasnt felipe doing one?? :bump:

I know Felipe posted about the Ryan Recruit and the Fokker D.VII in the FFDS forum but I haven't seen any screenshots of a Peashooter. If he hasn't made it public I wouldn't go and spoil the surprise.

I'm busy building an Airfix 72nd scale Army Lynx - See pictures.

Just thought I would put it out there :ernae:

Thanks guys!

It was more about the "absolute need" part than the one about the uniqueness.

Dont' you go worrying amigo....I have been accepted at MIT's super design course for 2012 on Februray 12 at 12:00 PM door 12 of the number 12 Building on the right.......I will leave you with that.....All I can say again, is...according to your logic, everyone should learn to make their own and shut up, a totally ridiculous statement. If that would be real, everyone who likes anything should learn to make it,..." Mammy I like Nuclear Power Plants"..."go make one son!! go make one or shut up"!!!! Yes Mum!!!!!:isadizzy::isadizzy::pop4:...by the way, is the little girl in the corner still going to the movies with your best friend___??????

Just a quick note about "learn to make it"....Some people have some abilities others, other abilities. Some can make great food others do not, even if they try. Some make wonderful scratch built model airplanes, others do not, even if they try very hard..and so on and so forth.....Some are artists others cannot draw a circle even if they try......all people have abilities to do something but do not have abilities to do everything....so, some good artists do great FSX planes, some do mediocre ones, some can't make them..........The great inventor Mr. Ford from the USA was great making cars not windmills but he liked windmill very much.....I hate to keep this on so I'll stop......but, amigos, to ask for a FSX plane and get an answer """go make your own"""", is idiotic or worst.....sorry if you don't like my opinon..:gameoff::gameoff::pop4:........Hey grandpa!!!! will you get me a McDonalds Yummi hamburger???? shut up and learn to make your own!!!!!...Hummm who needs that crummy hamburger I eat raw meat in jet airliners...Hummm Hummmm

PS....How about a DC5 or a very slow Caproni 73 guys? or the great C.R. 20 bis A.Q_..or...or...or..or...:applause:

Looking good, you know that's got the early rotors on?

I cheated and brought the Corgi die-cast Navy Lynx!

amigos, to ask for a FSX plane and get an answer """go make your own"""", is idiotic or worst

Still, more polite than what I would have said. It's not like modellers were born with the ability to use gMax, it's something you have to learn and can in fact teach yourself using on-line tutorials.

Unlike nuclear power plants, virtual renditions of aircraft are much, much, MUCH easier to build and don't harm the environment when containing one or two inconsistencies.

And the "Mommy, I want xyz." - "You've got pocket money//get a job and go buy it yourself, you're old enough." conversation should be familiar to everyone.
You think the MSFS world is any different because everything's happening on a computer?
Think again.

(Life ain't a pony farm. No exceptions. Ever!)

by the way, is the little girl still going to the movies with your best friend___??????
Yeah, she's also f++++++ him, they're deeply in love, I'm never seeing my best friend anymore on parties, they're getting married soon and she's currently pregnant with their first child. What an awfully boring couple.
