Thankyou both. I love the MkV but emotionally, especially today (well it's the 15th here) the BoB Mk1a "Baby Spitfire" must rule for me. Did you see that an auction lot of R.J. Mitchell's belongings went under the hammer? I would have liked his briefcase and the desk model. Problem is we needed the house to live in...:wavey:
 
The Spit is, and has been my favorite warbird to date. Something about them merlin engines.
....Speaking of merlins, how's the sound pack that comes with them?
 
I don't have the BoB pack. Are there any videos out there I could have a peek at so's to get an idea?
....I might have to put this one on the "hanger space for rent" list

Whilst the elliptical wing Spitfire is drop dead gorgeous, there is something about the clipped wing version as well.
