• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

I ran across this on a motorcycle forum of all places and immediately thought to myself, "Self, this is too good to go un-noticed in the Out-House." Of course, I had to do that bit of thinking in between the wiping of tears from my eyes. Hey I only claim to be an old biker, I've never once said that I'm a tough old biker. Anyway here's the article, and even if it has been posted, I think the story is worthy of a re-post.

Being from Indiana, I've seen this aircraft numerous times throughout the years. I must admit it is not the first warbird I go looking for, maybe that will change. Great story !! Maybe that's the real reason some of these aircraft need to fly, instead of sitting behind ropes in some museum.

Yes I have read this before, but where I can't remember off hand. And yes. it brought on the misty eyes again just as it did before.

And I do know of Genesseo, New York as I've been there many times back in the late 60s and mid 70s. Genesseo was the home of the B-17 "Fuddy Duddy" for many years. And was my favorite haunt during my college days, and again when I worked at Eastman Kodak in Rochester, NY.
