What has Google done now?

As of two days ago, every time I visit a site returned as a result of a Google search, it takes a double mouse click to leave the page and get back to the search results. If I click just once, it simply reloads the page I'm on. This behavior is usually the result of "jack-wagons" who program web sites to disable the browser's back button. But now it seems every page does it, but only if I arrived there from a Google search. Odd, no?

EDIT: Roh roh... It only does it on one computer and not the other... Setting condition zebra main deck and below, going to EMCON and running virus scans...

Ouch, hope you get it fixed Paul.

With the changes I've heard made to Google Earth that seem to have messed up a perfectly good thing, I'm not sure now I want to reinstall it and have it on this computer.

Paul,

If you have a backup browser of a different model, you should be able to just redownload and replace the said 'malfunctioning' browser.

I have been out searching for textures on the web and suddenly Safari stops working and I have to redownload another to get it restored. I should just keep an EXE file of it in a seperate location for a quick-replacement.

Hey Paul, you sure you aren't search for...hummm..."bad words"?

I read somewhere that Google has a list of banned words that take "two" returns or clicks to search. Something about protecting kids. The "bad words can be very innocuous to us. Just mother Google protecting us from ourselves.

Well, it wasn't doing this only when I was searching for "bad words" but even innocent ones. If I got to a web site as a result of a Google search, it did this. And it was getting worse. When I decided on a virus scan, it was taking several clicks to get back out of any web site. Virus scan found nothing, so then I ran CCleaner, deleted all Internet temp files, cleared the cache, then ran Spybot Search and Destroy. As a final measure I tossed some chicken bones on the keybpard. I think that's what fixed it... :icon_lol:
