Pearl Harbor Missions

Awesome missions.Surely your skill at mission building is unmatched.Again, many thanks.:salute::salute::salute:

Well at least 1 person spoke up about enjoying the missions. I know Ghostrider enjoyed them because he did some of the testing.

As many of you know alot went into the PHP2 scenery. It took over 6 years for the scenery to be done. I did alot of testing of it for Crashaz. I also did testing of the ships he was making for it. Last year he decided to make new ships but hasn't finished them yet. These ships will be able to do somethings never seen in CFS2 when finished. I've seen the new models and screenshots of what they will do, they are unbelievable. I have no idea when he will finish them though. When the new ships come out I'll probably update the missions.

It would be nice to hear some feedback.

I installed everything according to the readme, then went flying around Pearl Harbor:
Do I miss any textures here? I think there was a thread about this in this forum when the scenery was uploaded, but I don´t remember exactly. Any hints?

Thanks,

Well, I got it all installed, finally! Now I am fiddling with all my mistakes. Having a look at B 17 D, missing a couple of items, and working on fps. I did manage to get up and have a look around. Man, this must have taken forever to make! Thank you Talon! Well, back to work.:salute::ernae:

I've finally had time to load all of the files and have been playing around with it.

Only one word describes this whole thing, AWESOME!

Thank you Talon. Truly a stunning acheivement.

Captain Kurt,

I only tweaked the planes, ship dp's and did the missions. The scenery is by Crashaz and a FEW of his associates.

Well now we have 2 that enjoyed the missions.

Talon,

Count me as number three enjoying them unless someone else posts before I get this written.

Finally got your PH missions to work. Kept getting the usual "Can't Load". After a couple days of trying to add them to a current install I gave up and did a fresh install. Seems that something already in the game was conflicting with a few of Usuio's ships. Nothing to do with the 100 limit. There were 63 planes and 70 ships installed.

Thanks for a Masterpiece!

Voyager,

When I put in the PHP2 scenery I also did a clean install. With the Usio ships I always use Pen32Wins' DP's.Usio has most of his ships set to carriers Pen's DP's they are back to the right class of ship. I t also makes the AA guns a little less lethol.

The 100 ship limit is a myth,I have about 170 installed with no problems. Now the plane limit is another story, some of my installs have 90 while others are 100.

Talon,

I did use Pen32Wins' DP's. Usiuo's Hiryu and Isuzu were okay. When I added the others I could not load free flight or the missions other than the P-40 one.

No one else has mentioned anything like this so I guess that I had something installed that conflicted. Too many tweaks to that install to find the culprit

That particular install is no more. If anything happens in the new install I should be able to track it down s this one is PH specific so far.

Thanks again for all the work that you did!

I'm absolutely stunned.

Just tried the "Watch attack" mission and after a few minutes of :icon_eek:, I started FRAPS to capture this:

Hats off for PHP2 Project Team and Talon :salute:

Thanks very much Talon - great work!

At last we have magnificent scenery and missions to match.

One question: There is an additional VN_Enterprise contained within the VN_Enterprise folder. It has a larger model file and a few less textures. Is this one meant to be used?

Here are some shots - for added realism in the "watch" mission I substituted a sea captain and a battleship for the Airacobra and the Enterprise (although wrong navies for both).

How would that officer look repainted in full US Navy whites ? Hmmm another job for the future.

Talon, thanks for all of the wonderful work in the past, as well as the contributions from all of the other helpers. Hope you will still be available to pass that vast knowledge of yours onto the upcoming recruits. :applause::ernae:
