Barbara Billingsley, "June Cleaver", dead at 90

R.I.P. Barbara ....

(one of my more favorite lines from the show ... "Don't you think you were a little hard on the Beaver, Ward?")

Barbara Billingsley, star of "Leave It To Beaver" as June Cleaver, died October 16th.

God rest her soul. I grew up watching that television show. It represented everything that was good and wholesome.

So true Chief. Wonderful, good and wholesome show. Another that would fit this category would be the 'Andy Griffin' show. I wonder if quality shows like these are still being made today?

I want to believe they are, but I quit watching tv almost a year ago. Nowadays I watch Netflix. Just too many commercials and bad news on regular tv. I have a choice, and the choice is NO!

RIP Mrs. Cleaver. :engel016: "Leave It to Beaver" was a great show and one of the few sitcoms of the 1950's where the kids' dialogue was pretty much like kids really talked. I didn't notice it back in the day but when I watch the show now it's a nice change from the adult sarcasm and witty remarks of today's teen sitcoms.

Hello,

Being born in 1978, I don't associate her with "Leave it to Beaver," I remember her for her scene in "Airplane."

"Oh stewardess? I speak jive."
