A little more than a week to go until "All Hollow's Eve" and we have a full moon. Time for the Druid's New Year festivities to begin.

Thanks especially for the first link. That was some very nice pedal work! Speaking as a concert organist, I can certainly appreciate the hours and hours of practice required.
The complete lack of facial expression however was quite creepy! :ernae:

Those songs are great (my neighbor used to borrow by Bach tape when she setup her porch for trick-or-treaters), but it isn't Halloween without 'D.O.A.' by Bloodrock!

That's a nice version... Me, I guess I'm dating myself, but I've been stuck on E. Power Biggs' version for years...

...........and you live in Hammond !!??!

:bump:

I couldn't help but notice that you've hit some of my favorites in including Bach, Zevon, CCR, Santana, and the Son's of the Pioneers.

Perhaps there's some sort of message here.....

What's so strange about that? Chicago is only a quick 20 minute drive... :)

Although I'm absolutely not in the same class as E. Power Biggs or Virgil Fox were, nonetheless here's my humble interpretation of Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor BWV 565 recorded at Grace Lutheran Church, Champaign, IL on their Casavant, Opus 3246 (1975).

One of Ray Bradbury's most unusual and entertaing pieces of writing.

OK, N4g,.......one more time:

Glad that you liked some of my picks TeaSea. No message other than we both probably have an eclectic taste in music and have been around for 50 or so years. There's a lot of old rock and roll that can be co-oped for Halloween. It's pop music and Halloween has really become a pop holiday. Dollars spent are astronomical. Halloween has come a long way from carving up some large species of squash, bobbing for apples, eating dough-nuts and sipping warm cider.

Oh! Now I feel silly for not noting the implied irony...

I actually don't care much for Hammond Organs myself. I own a Conn Artiste (pronounced 'ar teest') console that I've gutted and filled with custom P3 computers and midi controllers. Sound generation is done via Sound Blaster AWE32 soundcards, using a set of custom SoundFonts I created years ago from digital samples.

One of my best friends who's a died-in-the-wool "real pipes only" organist refers to me as "the Great Con-Artist..." :ernae:
