The 50 Scariest Movies of All Time!

To be honest I've only seen two of those top 50 and I found both pretty boring (SOTL and the Exorcist). I will admit I did jump once during the Exorcist but that was when the phone suddenly rang after a long silent period! Everybody in the cinema jumped at that point.

Why is 'House of wax' not on the list? The 'acting' of Paris Hilton still gives me nightmares....

Seriously though; even though it's not a horror movie but more sci-fi, the original Alien movie should have been on that list IMHO!

Any Movie Boris Karloff,or Bella Lugosi made ,were in there day the most scary.....no high tech stuff..pure Art!.......When first I seen the"THING" a Si-Fi flick..Jim Arness as "THE THING"at the time I thought it was scary, almost yawn full today......it seems the little kids get desensitized to horror in graphic terms...I dunno if its good or bad,not my call.......up to their parents...if any!!.....BOO!..Vin!!

Gimme a break, The Shining?

I am not a horror movie fan, none of them do anything for me unless they are done in a comedy vein, i.e. Scary Movie or any Bruce Campbell Sci-Fi.

For me a horror movie is Sands of Iwo Jima or Das Boot, because both capture the horror of reality far better than any schlock horror film.
