That's my yard during a typical Vermont winter.

My ideal backyard view?

A log cabin on the shore of Lake Champlain looking over the Adirondack mountains with a DH Beaver on Amphibs tied up to the dock....

My house in Salt Lake City sat 2300 feet above the Salt Lake Valley floor. OY! That was awesome! I doubt I ever have another place like that one. The snow could be a little brutal in the winter, though.

The first three pics are from the Kitchen area in the stages of construction/completion. The pics after that are shots from the deck that was just off of the kitchen. You could even see the Great Salt Lake from my deck.

Ideal view from the porch...

Just the sound of the waves, gentle trade winds and seabirds. Sigh.

I have to say Wake Island sunset on the beach...... Wake Island is the most beautiful place I have ever been. Spent 8 glorious days there. Gorgeous.

I DL'd a Wake Island photoreal FSX pack from AVSIM the other day, but haven't tried it yet. It comes with flight plans, an AFCAD, and some MAIW AI models. The MAIW AI models work superbly in FSX, if you haven't tried them yet.

Wow...that view looks great!

I'd still prefer the sight of 20 nekkid Playboy bunnies playing water volleyball, though! :bump:

I had installed it, but didn't really look at it until now. Don't like it. No trees, all flat. Maybe from 10K feet up it would look ok, but it's not realistic. As for MAIW AI, I don't see any. Maybe I didn't install it correctly.

Hmm, difficult question. Can't complain too much about my current back porch view, but... The world has so many spectacular vistas it would be hard to choose just one. Can I have a back porch looking over each of 1: a secluded lake in Maine, 2: a mountain meadow in the Sierra Nevadas, 3: a tropical island beach, and (4) Hugh's pool?

BRIAN!!!...yep! thats home in winter!........

Bone!!....Magnificant!!...a True "Eagles Nest".........thanx Vin!!

Hey All,

A creature of the Prairies and the Badlands here. A couple borrowed from Flickr. Either would do for a view off the backporch.

I've got the Superstition Mountains for a back porch view. I'm quite happy with it.
