Birdog and Windows7

my L-19 Is acting up for me i dont know if it was the last patch or somthing some of my gauges are not working like the radio is missing etc other then that seems ok :salute:

I haven't had any trouble getting that combo to work. What specifically isn't working for you?

When I try to load it, it has a different "hardware fingerprint" than when I bought it and installed it in my old computer (Vista). It will not accept the key number.

I also tried to load the Safir with the same results.

That's how the hardware "fingerprints" work - they're tied to a specific combination of hardware components. If you change systems, you'll need to reactivate. I've had to do that before with Sibwings products, but they're pretty easy to work with. Just contact Andrey or one of the other on their forums and they'll get you fixed up.

Thanks, I'll give it a try.

I have had the same issue but the registration email is instantanious so reactivation shouldn't be a problem! Hope you get yours working soon too!

Went through the same thing when I upgraded to Win7. But I had an extra layer of complexity in that since buying the Bird Dog I had moved and got a new e-mail address. I was afraid the registration and activation would fail because of this, so I e-mailed Sibwings with my *** story and asked them to update my e-mail address before I tried to re-install the Cessna. They wrote back within 24 hrs and all went without a problem.

I'm thinking now that the activation would have worked with the old e-mail address after all. These activations systems don't actually verify that it's a valid address, just that the one you type in the box matches what they have on record. At least that's been the experience with other installation/re-activations since the Bird Dog.

This was very good advice. Audrey was great. Had max patience with me. I just couldn't grasp how to get my new fingerprint....turns out it is very easy. Got my new keys and both my BirdDog and Safir are back in the sky in my new computer. Working perfectly in Windows 7.
Good on ya, SibWings.
