Piglet---Can you make an Ercoupe?

The Ercoupe had the twintails and the aileron and the rudder coupled, and limited elevator travel for always coordinated flight and to make it spin proof.....the sold it as 'incapable of spinning' etc..
Well, it DOES spin, a 'nice' inverted flat spin!
 
Interestingly enough, when you taxi, you utilize the yoke like a steering wheel as well. ;)

It seems as the designers wanted a truly entry level aircraft that anyone could fly. I think we must remember that during these years, we fully expected everyone in the future to be flying in air cars to work.
 
I had a chance to fly in one to and from Orlando back in96-97. The frame was built in 1945 and had a smooth running Continental C85 engine. Also had a chance to fly it around a bit, lovely airplane:ernae:

Don, I assume you've been around the airplane while it's running, what would you compare the sound to? Also, do you have any closer shots of the panel?

I think rudder pedals were an option on the original Ercoupe. The company was sold many times over the years. When it became the Aircoupe they all had rudder pedals I believe. Sure would like to see one for FSX.

Well, at least for Ito's Ercoupe, and this is the first time I've run into this with any of his airplanes that have VC's, the VC panel won't show. . .it's solid black. All the other items from that texture are visible, except the panel itself.

Moving on to Woodward's model to see what it looks like.
 
Well, not sure why this is happening now, but Woodward's airplane has the same panel problem. Everything on the texture along with the panel shows up fine, but the panel itself is solid black. Aside from that and not surprisingly, Ito's model is far better and more detailed, so it would be the better choice if I could just get the panel to display.

Are u runnig SP2 or acc? that might be the problem, I have both in with just SP1 and no problems. Yes Mr, Ito's is much better looking that John's but John's was orginally a 2002 a/c updated to FS9.Also Mr. Ito's goes way to fast, like most of his A/C.:) When his 1st came out there was a lot of tinkering with airand cfg files for it here at the SOH and John 049 did a bunch of repaints for it too. The late Leon Louis did a bunch of repaints for John's coupe, either one if u run across a repaint of N3191H that was my coupe for a while, it's in both airplanes
 
Yea, SP2/Accel, but in the past, that has never been a problem with Ito's aircraft and I run quite a few still. Oh well.:salute:

Bernt - you gotta get upside down and push for that, too much dirt .
 
Well, problem solved. . .there is no entry for the VC panel or any gauges. The only entry for the VC is the compass. After reading the readme it makes a bit more sense. He didn't really like this airplane but decided to do it anyway, mostly because of the twin tail design. . .I guess it intrigued him enough to make him want to model it. He basically did it, gave it a 2D panel. . .did a basic VC interior and then just stuck it out there without ever adding anything to the VC. . .kinda strange, but that seems to be what happened. . .so much for the Ercoupe.:salute:
