Good morning,

I hope you've all had a good Thanksgiving. Dmaloof asked a question that I feel should be asked to a wider audience. He asked whether Dunkerque would be another Stuka campaign. The Dunkerque campaign was written by Jagdflieger as a series of cover patrol from the British side.

Turning it into a German campaign is certainly something that can be accomplished, the missions would have to be "flipped." The problem is with all of the movable objects, it's something that would not come easily, and I'd have to probe my mind for new "material" to write for mission descriptions and the like. I was also toying with the idea of making a couple of the missions so that you fly a Bf-110c or a Bf-109e.

So, do you want to fly a German-sided Dunkerque campaign or not?

Even though I haven't flown ETO for several years, I voted YES.

I do not wish to take this thread off-topic; so I will create a second poll and go into further detail there.

Go for it Rami !!

Lord knows you´ve done more than enough!

Even though I have to say that flying a Dunquerke campaign from the german side would be great. As could be flying a Dieppe raid from both sides, or flying a HE-59 landing in Rotterdam in the early 40´s, or a campaign between France and the BEF and the Luftwaffe on the other side.

Unfortunately I´ve got nearly 0 time for flying. Less for making campaigns with a good results.

Dieppe is too big of an undertaking without some help, especially from the research side. Frankly, I've (gulp) studied it little, I know only sketchings of it. The combined BEF / French will be done, because the CFS1 campaign that I'm converting will have twenty or so missions.

Also, Cees and I have discussed some possibilities for the Dutch, but I do not wish to "spill the beans" on it.

Other other thing that will certainly be included for Dunkerque is the creation of a larger campaign file that will allow you to fly the BEF / Dunkqerque and the BoF Stuka / Dunkerque in succession.

If someone is doing Dunkerk from the British side then why not one mission with a drivable transport. It could be leaving the beach with a load of troops and dodging bombs all the way acrossed the channel.Just a thought.Something differant.Blondi:cost1:

Blondi,

It's a nice idea, but I don't think I'm going to venture into that area of CFS2. There's nothing that should stop you or others from trying it, however...

Need a drivable transport. I'm not sure there is one out there. Blondi :cost1:

Blondi,

Have you looked at the work of Psullykeys? He might have something you need.

Anyway, before working on Dunkerque, (which I'll do over the winter break) I couldn't resist making a quick detour to finalize another update. Does anyone remember what this is?
