I know the Tigercat is tough, maybe too tough, I'm not sure. I have no idea how much damage each system should realistically take. I simply compromised with some of the numbers of the Grumman F6F Hellcat, another tough Grumman bird! CFS3 seems to ignore damage emmitters for some of the custom systems of the aircraft as I have them. The systems are all there in the .xdp and the aircraft visual model has damage emmitters built in for each system but CFS3 only uses the default system ID's to display damage it seems. The custom systems break but they show no visual damage via the emmitters. I believe there are workarounds for this though and I've looked at some of the custom aircraft from the new ETO/PTO/MAW packages and I can see how they managed to do it.
Just FYI about the systems in the Tigercat:
The F7F-3 has three self-sealing fuel tanks all located in the fuselage. The auxiliary tank in the nose just forward of the cockpit, the reserve tank just aft of the cockpit, and the main tank just aft of the reserve tank. There are no fuel tanks in the wings. There are two non-self-sealing oil resivours. Each one is behind each engine on the necelle forward from the trailing edges of the wings (you can see two holes about where they are located on the textures). The oil reservoirs also have small armor plates protecting them. The cockpit tub is surrounded by armor plates and bullet resistant glass. In addition there are more armor plates between the main and reserve fuel tanks giving even more protection. There are also some bullet deflection plates on top of the instrument panel. Finally, the main hydraulics system is located just forward of the reserve fuel tank under the cockpit tub. I got the impression from all my research that the Tigercat was built for maximum survivability!
