What I'm working on...

Finished?

I finished the last two missions and flight tested them. Everything went fine!. I haven't tested the one with the JMK_Nisshin yet, but will see if she takes torpedoes tomorrow. :)

I'm still hoping that someone will volunteer to Beta test the pack before I upload it.

I made the necessary adjustments to my .cmg file and cleaned up some of the accompanying documents. The various info docs and readmes are done in Word 2003 and in notepad for those who don't have Word. Attached here is a copy of the campaign layout... There are a total of 33 missions and the player will fly 17.

I am working on my own Beta testing. So far I have gone over 4 missions. I refined 3 by taking out unnecessary waypoints and fixed a third by adding a couple more Wildcats and slightly reducing the number of IJAAF fighters. Everything else in them looks good. The ships and landing craft all behave, and mid-air collisions are at a minimum. :wiggle:

I've gotten as far as the raid on Buka in Nov of 1943. Next on to the 2 Rabaul raids... Thease will be tough, lotsa FLAK and enemy aircraft. The player has a 33% chance of drawing either a Hellcat, SBD or TBF. :wavey:

Shadow Wolf,
this looks like a very interesting campaign, and I´m looking forward to flying it.
As much as I would like to help with testing it, my job doesn´t allow enough time for it right now.
Thanks for your work!

That's okay Skylane.

I finished my testing and made a few adjustments. The Sabang CAP mission had the player's 3rd waypoint too far from the Japanese bombers. The Surebaya Strike missions had a typo in the .cmg mission name (Surebaya instead of Surabaya). I double checked the spelling on the last missions and since I had already flown them successfully, I decided to let it go and upload the package.

My Christmas present to you all...

Our campaign builders have done a lot of great work for us this year. Thankfully, the PTO was not over looked, even Rami came back for a spell! Most of know just how much work goes into this. Hours and hours of research, trying to get the mission builder to do the impossible, then making adjustment after adjustment. We have only a handful of fine campaign builders. Anything you find in the library is very well done, and should inspire those of us who are trying to learn this fine art. Thanks SW and all of you. :salute::salute::salute::ernae:

If you find yourself back at it again next year, I MAY be worthy of being a beta tester for ya!

Readme notice

I forgot to mention in the installation readme that users must copy the contents of their Scenedb Runways Scenery and Texture folders and paste them into the Scenedb Inf Scenery and Texture folders and delete the filelist.dat file in the Scenedb Inf Scenery folder. MS forgot to do this when they released the game and you need to do this to have Mission Builder placed infrastructure runways to show up. I used 2 in some of the missions rather than create new scenery files.

Sorry about that...
