• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

It may be hard for you to imagine, and its not your fault...Growing up in NYC,a long time ago..one was assaulted with a multitude of languages,cultures,flavors,expression..and being like a big pot..the ingredients get mixed..The Richness of this is every one got along fine....Story of Immigrant America! in my case..It was the best of times, and the worse of times......Aufenthaltbrunnen mein Freund und goodby.....Vin :wavey:

Err...what? :icon_lol:

I think he meant: Aufenthalt-Brunnen mein Freund.

For our Norweigian friends it's: Blir Godt min venn.

In english: Stay well my friend.

In Yiddish: בלייַבן געזונט מיין פרייַנד

Apart from the grammar, that actually makes sense. :d

I had to deliberately "fracture the grammar" in order to keep the literal sense of the english puns...

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

Dunno.

Would it not depend on the wood, the woodchuck and the chuck?:wiggle:

"Sah ein knabe ein roslein stehen, roslein auf der heiden
War so jung und morgenschone" and that's it from German class - fifty seven years ago.

During my association with Woodchucks, I came to the conclusion that woodchucks don't chuck wood but only drink beer.....At least those of us living in the Catskill Mts . of NY who were called WOODCHUCKS!!!

According to a recent commercial, woodchucks DO chuck wood, albeit it is the farmer's wood they're chucking into the retention pond...

Presumably this was only after swilling the farmer's entire cache of homebrew though... :ernae:
