Anyone bought the FCS Sunderland yet?

I just received an email with their newsletter and I wasn't blown away by the screen shots in it. I've bought a few too many aircraft lately in the recent sales, so I'm going to be passing on this one.

I would really like this to be better than it appears as it is one aircraft I'd like to have in FSX.

I too was tempted by this one. But, having seen a number of external pics, I was put off, especially as it is not cheap. There are a few comments from a purchaser in a thread at cbfs if you are interested. I have ordered the Aerosoft Catalina instead - only £16 at Amazon currently.

Mutley had a look, but was not too impressed: "should be freeware"..
The Catalina on the other hand is brilliant! No competition really.

I'm interested, but this is the first I've heard of it. Additionally, the pics are so small, I can't make it out. Until they can better market it to get my attention, I'm not going to buy it.

For the exterior model it looks like there is an issue with the bump map. It may be possible to edit it or remove it if you really want a Sunderland?

The pictures are small for a reason :kilroy:

They did the same thing with 'Discover The USA' (other titles as well) which includes a Beech 18, the exterior model looks pretty good, however they do not show you very big pictures, and no previews of the virtual cockpit.

The reason why? It's fairly simple, they know the quality of the VC isn't up to par with most payware for that price. (about $40 from FCS store, $30 at fspilot shop not sure what the deal is with such a big price difference).

I have all of the 'Discover Series', except this one http://www.flightsim.com/main/review/discamer.htm glad I saw this review before curiosity got the better of me, won't be picking this one up, its just doesn't look worth it to me, will stick with Miltons =)

I enjoy all of the other Discover addons, and the planes are well done for the most part, so I was a bit let down when I saw the up close and person review of this particular release.
