Beautiful renditions of airport scenery. It's truly spectacular and it's freeware! I'm looking forward to anything else this guy Shigero creates.

Shigero is a scenery making powerhouse.
He has his own website.
He has done a lot of sceneries for airports all over the globe, including Canada and some U.S. States.

I'm posting a link that is translated from japanese to english.
The translation is fair, you can get the general idea of locations for the sceneries:

I had some problems with the mesh elevations, once I installed it. I uninstalled, and haven't attempted it again, but would like to know if anyone else had similar issues.

Yes - I have the same problem with Milford Sound, the runways etc. are on the top of a high plateau and not just above sea level.

That is a known issue with FSX, not Shigeru's scenery.

The fix for Milford Sound is available here from VATSIM New Zealand:

Hello Dain,

The link vatnz.net provides for a fix, links to sites unrelated to FS. Have you seen the fix anywhere else?
Also, there is an .exe file included with the Milford Sound download that might be intended to address the elevation issue. But it won't open (dang it).
I would appreciate any help on this, thank you.

Vector land class fixs this problem but its payware

Hello, first post. I just wanted to say a couple things about the Let's Fly Association sceneries.

First, unfortunately VLC actually does not "fix" the problem. It makes it pretty good but close up you still see grass texture overlapping the runway. I know the instructions that come with the Milford Sound download can be difficult to follow in English, but the very last step is to get the FREEWARE terrain mesh called "FSX Scenery--New Zealand Terrain Mesh"(nzfsx.zip) Sorry I don't know how to link a Flightsim.com post like the OP has.

Follow the three steps in the install and use that mesh (not VLC) and it will work perfectly.

Also, besides those two, there are more available at the Lets' Fly website.

The Watson Lake, Yukon one is amazing!

Cheers and happy flying!

Thank you for posting this W. I installed the scenery and recommended mesh, but the little .exe file will not open. I suspect that is why the new airfield is still at 800 feet. Any ideas on this? Appreciate any help. Thanks.

Hmmm not sure what do do if the .exe won't open. All I did was..

Extract the folder named FSX_NZMF_Milford_Sound_V10 and the executable Set92470.exe to my AddonScenery folder.

Execute the Set92470.exe and select the top option, then click the Exec button (bottom left).

I then installed the freeware New Zealand mesh, FSX Scenery – New Zealand Terrain Mesh / nzfsx.zip from flightsim.com

..and that was it. I think the exe just enables the scenery files... maybe try doing it manually? That is just a guess though.. hope you can get it going.

Thank you for the information. It helps to know that yours worked. The .exe appears to place a file called APX92470.bgl in one of the FSX scenery folders if you chose the top button. This corrects the elevation problem. The second option appears to remove the .bgl and reverts to the default elevation.
I've tried several things but still can't get the .exe to open. Maybe one of my settings are blocking it. I'll keep trying. Thanks again.
