Just did my 2nd and 3rd clean fatigue jump today =D
So far all my 3 jumps are from a chinook, next 2 gonna be combat jump from a c130.
And yeah, its just walking off the tail ramp of the heli and free fall 4s lol.
Been a great experience for my maiden jump, only noticed my legs flying upwards and nothing else lol.
First jump landed in a waterlogged grass patch. 2nd into grass beside the runway, nearly clipping the tarmac. 3rd jump into mud >.> just to avoid a fellow jumper packing his chute and not looking out for jumpers in the sky. All are from 1000ft with a steerable canopy. The experience is a blast =D

Congrats! So... you're at Fort Benning, right? My son went through Airborne school at Benning back in '92. He's made a good career for himself in the Army. Best of luck to ya! :salute:

Im jumping in singapore for my national service.
Somewhat a conscript airborne trooper lol
All i pray for every jump is good weather and calm winds+safe landing on grass.
I dare not try tarmac landing yet.

Congats YippY!! Welcome to the club. TARPS, you're making me feel old. I got my wings in '82.... How time flies.....

Congrats YippY and welcome to the Airborne Fraternity!

I hope that you will get to train with the Royal Thai Airborne just north of you on an exchange excercise. If so, we'll share a common set of wings between us.

Managed to do 1 day combat jump, but missed out on the night jump due to foul weather. The first thing i noticed after exiting the C-130 was that cool wind was blowing into my face. Which meant that the slipstream took my spectacles off at 1000ft. Unfortunately my specs were'nt recovered during the FOD walk so RIP to it T_T

@Jagdflieger If i get to do a jump in thailand during training within the next 6 months, i may well be able to get it =D

Airborne!

Hoo Ahh YippY!!!!

Congratulations on getting your wings. Fine looking wings I might add.

You are now among a very elite band of brothers. The camaraderie between airborne troopers and units transends armies and nationalities.

By the way, your "clean fatigue" jumps are called "Hollywood" jumps in the US Army.
