A really good video, featuring the RAZBAM Corsair II!

Nice Video NC

Nice Video NC. Wonder if the pilot making that sunset trap logged it as a
night trap? Back in my day they'd cheat and log that on a "yellow sheet"
as a night trap; Generally sunset landings logged as night traps were called a "pinkie".
Do they even use "yellow sheets" anymore? I try to keep up
to date at work with NPC (Bupers) and learn that a lot has changed
since I retired back in Jan 87. Uniforms changes alone are hard to adjust to.

:salute:

I love the sunset trap part of that video!!!

As for uniform changes, I agree. I retired in 1997, and since then, the USN has made quite a few changes. A couple years ago, I was up near Knoxville, visiting a reserve center. The PO1 who was showing me around was wearing black pants and a khaki shirt. Looked a lot more like a USMC uniform. Don't like it. Don't like it at all! Nothing at all against the Marines! It's as though they (our wonderful govt.) is wanting to make ALL the military services look the same, and they are NOT!!!! So much for traditions. Am sure the "Crackerjack" uniform will go the way of the dinosaur soon too. What a shame.
