Manx2 Metroliner crashes at EICK

from the looks of the fire damage, i'd say they were pretty low on fuel...which is fortunate for the six survivors

Aircraft was on a scheduled flight from Belfast to Cork. There was very dense fog at EICK this morning which resulted in the aircraft flying 2 missed approaches. Apparently, during the 3rd approach the aircraft came in too fast, bounced and rolled on it's back. Amazing that anyone survived.
 
The pilot tried the second approach from the opposite direction, and aborted the landing.
On his third approach he tried the planned landing again...
Would the second failed landing not have been enough to divert the plane?
 
RIP for those killed. It's a real shame that the typical trolls have to post their ignorant comments in those linked articles though... :ipepsi2:
