Win7 and Motor Boats

Recently afther installing Win 7,I tried runnig some of the MB missions; I cant get them to start the moment I hit the fly button the ship sinks nose first.
Can this be corrected or is there a incompability with Win7 ?

It's not just Win 7 either, it's Vista too. Since I shifted from XP, I get exactly the same effect. I raised this ages ago and no-one could come up with a solution. Now if I remember right one or two Vista folk said they had no problem, but that didn't help me. I can't understand why it's only the MTB's/S-Boots that are affected as they are only modified aircraft models. The drivable U-boat works (ish) and I think all the drivable vehicles are unaffected.

I'm quite gutted as I'd started working on a ETO mission pack (I'd done two missions in XP) but have had to abandon all MTB projects.

I think I have found the solution by replacing the propeller portion of the aircraft.cfg with the following lines using note pad.

[propeller]
propeller_type=0
propeller_diameter=6.666667
propeller_blades=3
propeller_moi=7.777778
beta_max=34.000000
beta_min=15.000000
min_gov_rpm=1400.000000
prop_tc=0.100000
gear_reduction_ratio=1.000000
fixed_pitch_beta=20.000000
low_speed_theory_limit=8.000000
prop_sync_available=0
prop_deice_available=0
prop_feathering_available=0
prop_auto_feathering_available=0
min_rpm_for_feather=0.000000
beta_feather=0.000000
power_absorbed_cf=0.000000
defeathering_accumulators_available=0
prop_reverse_available=0
minimum_on_ground_beta=0.000000
minimum_reverse_beta=0.000000
rotation= -1,1 //Engine 1,2,3,... Rotation direction. 1 = CW, -1 = CCW

Gosd. That was the answer! I replaced the [propeller] section of the GC_Brit_VosperMTB CFG file with yours. NO more nosedives!

I will try it with the other MTBs that are affected.

" Well Done!" :salute:

Gosd. I corrected the S_38 CFG file with the new [propeller] section and the boat doesnot nosedive.

All of Beau's MTB Missions in MAW run smoothly. Thanks to you, I am sure Beau and others will appreciate your work in correcting this mystery.

Nice one Mate Beau will be over the moon with this news. its great when someone comes along and solves a problem like that as the MTB has become a large part of the theatres now.

Great looking forward to these:jump:
-I have added the abandon_ship effects by ndicki to most of the ships I had in my folder,it ads to the experience of blowing them out of the wather!!
-Wondering on the necessesity of using numlock for the mb missions,what does it do exactly?

Wonderful This is GREAT!!!
Bravo to Gosd and Beau on this..

I'm not aware of this Gosd, what does it do? I can't remember off the top of my head about the num lock either.

The scroll lock is used to allow a smooth visual pan with the hat switch on your joystick instead of the fixed 8 point rotation.
