FSN Airtractor lite-freeware version update

Roger

Senior Administrator
Many of you will have seen the Airtractor thread here a few weeks ago and there were a few issues that have now been addressed plus some "Fire" scenery. The patch & scenery is available from Simviation here http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1&keywords=FSN_AT802_LE.zip&x=9&y=8

The patch tells us that to fix the wheeled version missing tectures:

"AT802 Fire Tanker Wheeled Texture Fix: Copy the files at_04_T.dds and at_04_T.bmp from the Air Tractor Amphib\texture.EC-KRF folder to Air Tractor Wheeled\texture."

In fact to fix the missing texture issue the bump and spec files need copying over too as well as those above.
All 4 files are required namely:

AT_04_bump.bmp
at_04_bump.dds
AT_04_spec.bmp
at_04_spec.dds

Many thanks to FSN and Bruce for releasing these little gems!

Roger, good info, but not exactly as I found it in my setup. . . .actually, those 4 files are in the main texture folder for the Amphib, not the folder designated in the readme. Also, the light section in the readme says "to utilize the 3D lighting. . . . ." use the code they included. After looking at the cfg file for the wheeled version, the 3D lighting is already there, if I replace it with what they say it will actually remove the "Shockwave 3D lighting".:salute:

Here you go Mike...

It's a great taster for the final FSN project! I wish them well and also I hope we see more freeware of this quality from Bruce Fitzgerald.

It's sad when a team falls apart. I wish them all the best, and thank them for this plane as is.

Cheers, Rob

Glad you guys are enjoying the plane. Our team hasn't "fallen apart", we've just parted ways from our modeler who we've replaced since.

As far as the lighting you'll want to use the code I included in the patch as we have included our own 3D lighting that comes with the amphib model. Cheers,

Roger that. Still, I wish you all the best, working on the new model!
