RealFlight is proud to announce the the F6F & F3F Hellcat for FSX has been released.

Utilizing all of the new features of FSX, including DX10, high resolution textures, bloom, self-shadowing, normal mapping and specular mapping, this famous aircraft has twelve (12) different liveries for your flying pleasure.

A fully animated Virtual Cockpit with a complete loadout option allowing you access to all of the fully operational weapons systems puts you firmly in the pilots seat..

We have tried and hopefully succeeded in creating a quality product that will make our debut into the flight-simming industry a truly memorable one.

We have compiled 2 installers:

You only need to download 1 installer depending upon your circumstance.

  • Broadband users can download the full product including all models and paints. (177mb)
  • Dial-up users may download the smaller installer which has 1 paint and 1 model. (67mb)
We are also currently working on a 3rd installer which will only include the other 11 paints and additional model for the people who are also on dialup.

There seems to be a bug with the installer. Once both packages are installed all of the textures appear to be in place but the aircraft.cfg only contains references to one texture.

It looks like an absolutely cracking addon though from the short flight I've just taken.

Hi Chris,

Did you delete the 'SimObjects/Airplanes/RF F6F_Hellcat' directory within FSX and then run the 'RealFlightF6FvXa.exe' 170mb installer again.
 
This really makes me wish I could run Fs10:crybaby:.......ho well, anyway outstanding plane. Its like they took a real one and stuffed into a computer. :jump: think maybe you guys could make it for little ole' Fs9? just a thought:icon_lol:
