RealFlight F6F Hellcat Released

Dose the FSD installer 'phone home' like the FSD old installers? I brought the CS C-130 for FS204 and found out that that it 'phones home' every time I install it. I did not buy it for FSX until Just Flight came out with it on DVD ROM as the installer does not phone home. Does FSD get any money from the sale of the Hellcat?

She is a real beauty! Thanks Roger, your shots forced me to buy her :mixedsmi:

Ok, what’s the deal with this?
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />
I get this error message when attempting to install the F6F (see pics). I have Windows XP x64. Never had a problem installing an FSX plane before. What operating system does it think I have?

"What is Windows Vita?"

If it can't spell it then how can it load it???:costumes:
It managed to load it on my 32 bit Vista so I think they need a tweak to get bit to load onto 64 bit. Hope it's sorted soon and I imagine it will be given their good record so far.

Yep, I saw that! I was going to let that pass... hehe. In any case, I don't have Windows Vita, I have XP... :mixedsmi:

Yes,
when running a viable Windows OS you want the vendor to just sort it. These complications should have been tested for, prior to release or a caveat issued.

I installed on Vista with no issues. She is very frame rate friendly and them engines sounds gives me a woodie:costumes: They did a hell of a nice job on the panel and the plane handle like nuthin but sweet:applause: My shots aren't as good as Rogers and Nil...lol...they are da pros on posting shots....BTW, this is also DX10 shots with no add on scenery.

I'm betting the plane runs fine on Windows XP x64, just the installer only looks for "XP" or "Vista" (and maybe "Vita"...) and "x64" fails that test. That would be a quick fix (hopefully).

Hopefully paul we should have an update for you shortly.

Hi Paul, sorry to here ya having them problems. Remove it first and go into MSCONFIG and under startup disable all and reboot. Reinstall it and post what happens...Mike

Hey Paul, have you tried running the exe in compatibility mode for regular old xp 32 bit? Ive had some exe files that wouldn't work in vista 64 and this worked.

Now I have!! :ernae: :ernae: :friday:

Compatibility mode? I didn’t know about that one. Did a search for it in Windows Help, found it, tried it, BINGO! Thanks, Joe!

Tried your idea first, Moe, but had similar results.
