Having an issue with the forum.

The past few days, whenever I return to the forum, all messages are highlighted as new. Used to be only new unread messages were highlighted. I've tried logging out and back in, but the result is the same. Any way to fix this?

i was haveing the same trouble this morning, marked all forums read (nav bar - forum actions - mark forums read) and it seems to have fixed it.

I'n having the same issue. Unfortunately, I cannot seem to get the Forum Tools, "Mark This Forum Read", function to work.

Whoops. Cancel that. Got it to work.

I think it is a problem with the forum skin. I see the unread posts icons as pale, whereas the read icons are highlighted.

I'll take this to the office and see what the corporate opinion is.

I'll reference this thread so if you have a screen shot of the problem, please post it for investigation. I don't seem to have the problem so I can't do much more than report your issues and see what the gurus can came up with for a fix.

I'm waiting to see if Canelo can find a problem. CK has normally done our forum theme tweaking in the past. I checked into it but wasn't finding the culprit.

Would it be possible to get even more contrast between the read/unread colors? I'm not a real fan of
the light blue/blue-grey scheme anyhow and these days I have to really squint in the mornings to
see which threads are raed vs unread.

Have you tried the "CombatFS/CFC" theme? That's the dark theme that mimics the old Combat Flight Center theme from years past.
The icons are different on that theme and might be what you're looking for.

(BTW, the read/unread icons are flopped on that theme too so I'm guesing Ickie is on the right track with it being a hiccup in the latest vBulletin forum software update.)

I tried that theme but it is a bit too clunky for my taste

I rather like the theme that the OLD Avsim boards used before they went to their current "pretty" board software. The dark blue they use on their main page is what I like to see in a forum for unread message threads and a lighter blue for read.

Another forum that I really light is the A2A scheme. That one works quite well for me as does the FS Developer forum scheme.

Not trying to be picky....I just know what I like
