Rob Richardson's Meteor Mk8 available

A magnificent plane! I find the VC very atmospheric. One of the most important qualities of FSX and other sims from the series is that dedicated and talented developers give us planes that you will not find in any other sim. Rob, are you planning on further versions of the Meteor series?

Download problems

Don´t know if this helps...
Tried to dnl six times to no avail, sucess (I hope)on 7th with Norton internet security 2011 disabled...
Will never do this again...btw, no problem with paints yesterday

Beaufighter

Had you done something as simple as posted your problem at the Forum at britsim The FIRST time it failed I would have gladly pointed you to the sendspace link we have there for those who encounter problems, I guess its easier to come here and write your annoyance when a simple help at The Pond would have got what you wanted much easier.

Hi Leif
You misunderstood me, think you overreacted. Not complaining. Just trying to help as stated first line...With Norton disabled had no problem. Six times in a row, suceed at 7th, why should I bore britsim? Just want to inform fellow simmers about this fact (Norton).
Again, thanks for the beautifull work.
Regards.

That is a seriously beautiful set of screenies Noddy

And Beaufighter -- sorry If I seem overly sensitive, I have spent seven years acting as caretaker for The Pond, and have been fortunate to bring together a group of extremely talented developers, painters, sound guys and scenery builders, But time and time again we have said that if you are having problems post it at the Pond and one of us will do our best to help --<<Why Bore Britsim>>?? The answer is simple if we dont know we cant fix, and ALL I see is
people complaining in other venues, that if it was not for the fact that some of us were registered here we would never know.....when you post something negative like that there are a 1000 guests here that see it and decide to avoid Britsim because we are handing out "corrupt" files -- the average Flight Simmer doesn't see that phrase as being a few bytes short of a load but that we are attempting to give their precious computers an electronic pox. Frankly it makes little to me wether they visit or not, we have the largest library of things British bar none, so if everyone goes away tomorrow , I will send Rob English (our gracious host) a check to keep the site open so I have access to said Library.

Hi,

What do you open a *.pspimage file with ?

Forget it, I found out :) No layers though.

Yes, the paintshop, managed by the PSP file
But now I just use a photoshop
Therefore, it would have been good PSD format
Anyway I do not understand ....:wiggle:

Well I've just opened it in Paint Shop Pro 9, look to be plenty of layers there.

Importing with Corel Photo Paint gives me one layer and that is called "background".

Opened in PSP 9, saved as psd, then opened in PS and saved as PSD with "max compatibility" checked and I have a workable kit.

Which would have been my next suggestion (I just did the same) - but you are a master at this Dag, and I am just a beginner.

I'm going to try my hand at a couple of repaints this evening, watch this space for updates ....
