To all CFS2 folks,

Due to circumstances which I cannot discuss for confidentiality reasons, all of Lindsay Watt's tree, object, and moon packages have been removed or made unavailable from / in the Warbirds archive.

However, you can still obtain them from two sources...

1) Lindsay Watt's website: http://lwdesigns.com.au/CFS2/cfs2.html

2) MaskRider's scenery page: http://mask-rider.com/

I will discuss with Leroy10 about getting his packages uploaded to another website, such as Simivation, as quickly as possible.

This does provide an opportunity to discuss an important point: When using the work of others as a base or enhancement of your own, you must make every effort to ensure that you have obtained the permission of the original author.

Thanks,

Thanks for the tip Rami:

I made the necessary changes to my downloads list for my upcoming campaign upload. Maskrider's stuff is still okay, right?

Just thinkin' out loud but . . .

It sounds like somebody or bodies screwed up and we lost Lindsey as a member. Boy, that really smarts. Maybe somebodies need to apologize? :isadizzy:

It's a sad day for the community for sure. This is really upsetting to me after knowing Lindsay for so long. He was one of the pioneers for CFS2. His knowledge of CFS2 is unsurpassed and he and I have discussed many things about it. I didn't always understand what he was talking about but he always took the time to explain it to me.

I wanted to wait a few days before I said anything and calm down a little.

Is there any person here who does not use his great stuff? I was never going to post a comment here again, but this was wrong. It's really been great knowing all you guys. Thanks for all the tips and friendship.

Greg, I'm so sorry I had to bail on ya. Some things just completely turned me off and I think I will stay away from here, for now.

Stay healthy fellas and bless all of ya, see ya........Rick :salute::salute::salute:

:jawdrop:From what I've heard not only Apology's but someone needs to get censured. This does not sound like the SOH I used to know. This kind of crap did not fly.

Blondi and Erufle,

The initial situation was not all that serious, it was made worse by the way that the SOH member went after certain administrators while the matter was being investigated and moving toward a resolution. That is what led to this removal.

Hi Rami. Don't you think that everyone involved got a little carried away with this altercation. I can certainly see why Lindsey was upset that his stuff was being changed without his permission. I can also see that he may have been upset because nothing SEEMED to be getting done about it. I am also sure that whoever was investigating has other things to do besides investigating things in SOH. Like earning a living, taking care of family affairs, mowing the lawn. You can't be doing SOH stuff 100% of the time. Also you have to have time to contact the person involved and ask them "what in the H do you think you are doing?" And then getting an answer. I think that as things cool down, and cooler heads prevail Lindsey should be invited back and the person who caused this in the first place should get a good talking to and a warning. Just my opinion.
