8 Gifts Men do not want....

Cloud9Gal

~Fury of the Winds~
1. Exercise Equipment

2. A Tie

3. Joke Gifts <----Would a novelty apron count as one of these? :icon_lol:

4. Thoughtless Tokens (like buying a book on golf, when your man doesn't golf)

5. Soap-on-a-Rope <-----This one made me laugh out loud.

6. Stuffed Animals <-----Umm yeah...No, just no!

7. Grooming Aids<-----What's wrong with a nose hair trimmer? :icon_lol:

8. Socks & Boxers <----I know that's a popular one though.

I don't know, at my age, I kinda like some, well.....not the stuffed toys and soap on rope but maybe...most of what's on your list.

Nose hair trimmer works on ear hair and eyebrows as well....

Guess I'm old fashioned.....

Nothing wrong with being old fashioned! As a matter fact, being old-fashioned is refreshing these days :)

Some of these things are fine.

Exercise equipment is expensive and can be sold for beer and gas money.

Soap on a rope can make a good weapon in a pinch.

Some of our woodland creatures stuffed by a taxidermist are nice.

Grooming aids are fine.

Depends on the exercise equipment, a good home gym wouldn't be bad at all for me.

The only other items you listed that I could use are the necessities: socks and boxers.

You can give the rest to others, especially the tie, I have no use for anything tight around my neck. >)

6. Stuffed Animals <-----Umm yeah...No, just no!

I have to disagree on this one. It depends on if they are a gift. I have several stuffed animals of varying descriptions living in my house. I like them, not because I am particularly attracted to stuffed animals, but rather, when I see them (or think of them) I am reminded of the person(s) who gave them to me. It is a personal connection that makes them important to me. LA

1) Exercised once, made me tired so I quit..

2) don't own a tie..Was tied up once didn't care for it..

3)Do have some nice joke gifts, a frog riding a Harley is one..

4) Never have gotten a token of any kind..I do have a nice ring..

5) Never needed Soap on a Rope..Hobbits avoid water whenever possible..

6) Stuffed animals, Yes I have a Love Bear, from a Grateful Dead show, and Lots of Snoopy stuff, it took me years to convince my Dear little sister that at 11 Snoopy was really cool.. But at 56 years old Not so cool now..God love Her..

7) Don't wear socks, or shoes, And why would I need a Boxer for, I don't like to fight..

nowt wrong with power tools?!?! The only bad thing is if you have to find that one extension lead that got shoved in the garage somewhere :bump:

There is when your wife thinks Black & Decker just as good as Makita or DeWalt. Aaargh!
