Thanks Albert... love to do more sound edit on some of these aircraft... my first attempt at sound editing, not easy to do. When I heard the Wildcat flying aerobatics, I wanted it to sound just like that. So I tried to match the flight, but not possible, so I edited the sound in six pieces and tried to match the flight I did. It's not perfect, but still sound good, at least to me. It still needs work.

The Spit is also edited too, the part where the announcer stays Spitfire on the flyby.

Again I'm glad you enjoyed the video... may do a USAF version.

Love your work!

What are all those targets painted on the sides of the fuselages?;)

Thanks again.... really enjoy viewing your work.

Excellent video, TuFun, great idea too ! :applause:

Indeed wonderful sound edits! Lancaster too, right ? ( would've loved to see it landing and taxiïng in but you ran out of film, right ?... ;) )

That one of the Orbx airfields i presume ?

Thanks for sharing, GoodFun to watch !

cheers,
jan

Hey Jan... I did not edit the sound on the Lanc, only the Wildcat and the Spit flyby with the announcer.

The scenery is Orbx Orcas Island, my favorite area for most of my flights.

On the Lanc, the runway is to short to land, so it was only a flyby.

I have a question....how are you moving your tower view? Like when you are viewing the landings near the fence line instead of where the tower might be. There used to be a small program you could install in FS9 that you could use to locate the tower view but I'm not aware of this for FSX.

I use FS Recorder tower camera, by flying over a spot I want to view from. Set a tower camera at that position, click new and add a tower cam to the menu. Edit the new cam for aircraft position, then change the altitude for 7 feet, or any altitude you desire.

Ok! Then that's quite a great soundsuite !

Righto! I have it myself, i should get out more... :d

Bummer for the spectators ! :)

Thanks Tufun!

In addition to FS Recorder Tower view you can also change the default ' Runway Facilities' camera definition to act as a movable Tower view. ( default def is pretty useless anyway ) After take-off or landing go into Replay mode, right click your screen, select 'Runway' from the menu and then the airport and runway of your choice. You will then be placed in the near vicinity of that runway. You have as much camera's at your disposal as there are runways. Use the 'A' key to cycle thru them. You can walk to any place along the runway ( or across the whole airport if you like ) by using your Eyepoint keys.

If there are, say, 5 runways at a particular airport you can have 5 camera's along the runway in use to see your aircraft land or take-off. Just like in the movies.

Open your Cameras.cfg and replace the 'Facilities Runway' entry by this :

[CameraDefinition.009]
Title = Facilities Runway
Guid = {607C4520-CA6F-4135-AE10-8BF28838068F}
Description = This is the description of the runway view.
Origin = Fixed
InstancedBased = Yes
SnapPbhAdjust = Swivel
SnapPbhReturn = False
PanPbhAdjust = Swivel
PanPbhReturn = False
TargetCategory = Container
Track = Track
ShowAxis = Yes
AllowZoom = Yes
InitialZoom = 1.0
SmoothZoomTime = 2.0
ShowWeather = Yes
XyzAdjust = TRUE
Transition = No
ShowLensFlare=FALSE
Category = Runway
CycleHideRadius = 7
ClipMode = Spot
CycleHidden=Yes

First make a copy of your current Cameras.cfg of course and check that the CameraDefinition.number is the same as your current one.

If you like aircraft spotting in FSX you can't do without this ! :cool:

Cheers,
Jan

thank you both!! I installed FSrecorder and got it working...bnow if I could onl;y figure out how to use all the functions.

Thanks Jan for the info... also in FS Recorder, I believe you can have up to 11+ cameras and cycle thru them with an assign key, just like the s key for views.

I got to have a look at it ! Downloaded FS Recorder many full moons ago but never found the time to install and play around with it. That's the life of an FSX dev... :mixedsmi:

cheers,
jan

I use fraps for recording in-game and Cyberlink PowerDirector 9 for editing and creating the video files.

I used youtube and other sites for some tutorials, and experimenting with setting.
