• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Finally, after waking from a drunken stupor, in an island i cant remember somewhere in the South Pacific, I recall a wire from salt_air mentioning something about a journey, and I needed to get the B-17 refueled, and in the air.

I grabbed some food, alot of local ale, and fueled the busty bomber and off I go... Thunderstrorms are in the area, but it aint the worst locals have had to endure... For its the great musical with EdGeneer's poor singing that makes even drunk billy-goats vomit, and Mitzi Gaynor wish she had.

Off we go into the wild blue......

It is with regret that I say I am unable to compete this race in time... I must forfeit my position in the standings and bow out of the race. I don't feel I was in any position to rival the top runners in this class, but will not be able to finish.

Great job by the folks that organized this jaunt, and I wish the best and good luck to the remaining participants...

Keep the greasy side down!!!

Sorry to hear your are dropping out.. We need all the B-17's (and worthy B-17 Pilots) we can get.. I think that leaves just me and Dusty.. Besides, the "rules" were modified to read, in effect, the event runs until the last pilot has flown all legs. Surely you can make ten legs in the next ten days.. Most were one hour hops, except the last one is a 4-5 hour job (lots of coffee and a five gallon can for the Relief Tube!!)
Anywho, hope to catch you at another SOH event, on down the road..
