• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Arrrrrg!!! People! Please stop arguing!!! It's just not that important! It the admins say stop, then please stop! I didn't join this form to see people argue about stuff. I joined because of the great community here. I don't wish to offend anybody, but this is how I see it.

By the way, the P-61 is looking great and I do hope that the thread gets unlocked so that we may see the amazing progress.

I was disrespectful to no one. I actually have my website but thanks for the offer. To the member that suggested thin skin I think you might be on to something. Roger, this is a hobby for me. I have been here for a year and made just over twenty posts. If you really think you somehow leveling arbitrary trumped threats of banning a screen name is going to cause me to loose sleep at night you really do have your head up in the air sir.

As I said before I think the real problem which is being demonstrated here to full effect is the bullying. If someone disagrees with a mod or admin even if they were not rude or disrespectful they get the full on "like it or leave" approach. Roger you hinted at dismissing me in this thread more than once because obviously you do not agree with what I have to say. In the Vertigo thread you did the same thing to another member. Warchild basically said that people can not debate with a mod and when she didn't like how the discussion was going she tried to apply the brakes. After that came the threat. I am sorry you may not like what I have to say and hey you may ban me over it. If it happens it is what it is. However I have been here for a year. I read a lot and post very little. I have seen this stuff going on for a long time now and frankly I am tired of seeing it. While it is easy to just "join another another site", I feel I wouldn't be myself if I didn't at least speak up about it.

Roger while I am sure there are a good many members who will continue to eat their soup without really taking notice and they will just accept whatever they are told there are some who like me have realized the growing number of threads that have been closed lately. Not because of pissing matches between two members but because a mod or admin didn't like or didn't agree with the comments in the thread. In my opinion you are letting your personal opinions dictate your professional actions. For me that makes it hard to take any of you serious. More so when you try to throw your perceived weight around like you did here this afternoon Roger. Asking about my personal information was just down right out of line and pretty darn hypocritical when you yourself have very little in the way of information posted. So with that I have said what I have to say. Like I said I did not disrespect staff, however if you want to trump up something to ban my screen name and kill all twenty of my posts well then I guess have at it. If not this has been interesting and if you are truly interested in getting to know more about me feel free to PM me.

I've been here for 10 years as member, mod, retired admin and admin again. If you don't know me that's not my problem. I have invested over those years some 20,000 hours in this website so I feel I know it well and always have it's best interests in mind. If you or anyone wants to see what my issue with your posts is about, just reread post #7.

Wow - that was epic. Couldn't just have PM'ed him, could you have? Interesting? For whom? Not for those of us who've been here for years - chiefly because SOH strives (even if imperfectly) for the enjoyment of this hobby without - as you so eloquently put it in post #7 - unnecessary drama.

Why did you edit your post? Your first edit was much more insulting. Say what you feel man. I have thick skin you are not going to offend me. If you disagree you disagree. If it makes you sick like you claimed it did then say it. Just because I waited until 2010 to sign up doesn't mean I haven lurked around SOH for a long time before hand 2006 to be exact. I too would like to see it be relaxed and respectful. However when I see people getting treated like cattle when their opinions do not fall in line with those of the staff I am sorry I am going to say something. Simple as that.

Enough is enough. Thread closed. if people dont like civility and or appreciate the rules, they can bloody well go somewhere else.
