Something strange going on?

I have lost the use of all instruments in FSX, digital, analog, gps, whatever, they show, but they do not work? Any clues as to what is missing in my FSX files that would cause this? This is "all" aircraft, not one isolated example.

Thanks for the HU on the drivers DC, that did the trick. I rolled back to the 270.61 drivers and all is doing fine now. So for anyone else that has installed the 275 beta drivers for nVidia cards, if your instruments do not work in FSX, that is the problem. I'll wait for the non-Beta 275 drivers and try them, the Beta drivers are a no-no to FSX.

OMG - the agonies I have just gone through over these past 3 days and now once I fix the problem myself I find this post.
I, like a damned fool, put these 275.27-desktop-win7-winvista-64bit-international-beta drivers on because someone recommended them. Then I wasn't at my PC for a couple of days. When I returned and booted up FSX only to find the gauges only worked intermittently. I had forgotten the so called "upgrade". I had also just installed some Saitek panels so was convined they were the culprit. Anyway FSX was uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. FS2004 was seeimgly unaffected. I even resorted to A total reinstall of W7 and now look forward to weeks of slow reinstallation of every damned thing on the PC. I know have to go to Flight1 for several items to reissue keys and cap in hand request the Radar Contact people to reissue licences.
Never again will I be tempted by Betas.
Sorry to rant and drag an old posting up but if only one person out there benefits from my misfortune then it was worth it.

EDIT - on the other hand however, W7 is silky smooth again with a reinstall and FSX boots up in about 20 seconds. ....... It won't last!

Now nVidia has just released the official (non-Beta) 275.33 drivers and I had to try them. Hey, good stuff Naismith, the gauges work a-ok and teamed with my two 9600 GSO cards running SLI, it's more steady in FSX. I do like the way nVidia have now formatted their drivers to be easily rolled back. But right now, that doesn't seem necessary.

Thanks Caz, I took your info got the full release and yes seems very smooth in use.
Yay! I'm almost back where I was before all my buffoonery.

I'm running drivers that were not even made for my card* without issue as well as trying the odd beta driver here and there without issue.

What am I doing right?

(* Made for Quadros, which is the CAD GPU line from NVidia. Quadro GPUs are based on their commercial counterparts, but sold for way more money. Their drivers emphasize image quality rather than speed and can be used on all NVidia cards with the right .ini.)
