Finally learned how to make water layers for my scenery

i been trying to make water layers for my photo scenery i got it working finally! so when i work around the ocean and lakes its still landable with float planes! yahoo!!! so happy:salute:

here it is catalina island i have not added night textures yet its geting late 1:30 Am tommrrow ill play with thi bgle some more there may be some fixing needed on the water in some areas still

photo shop is needed to put trans textures on the sat water


what tool you using to do you scenery ? cook?

I have been using a combo of Scenery Creator X with the google maps as my mapping plugin, then I would make a water mask and place that over the photo scenery but I could never get it to come up with the water only the photo scenery was there.

Cirrus - does your completed scenery include an AFCAD for the airport KAVX?

no just default airport and new ground textures

I fly all of my seaplanes out of Catalina and my wife and I visit it often. Your scenery really looks great! All I have to do is figure out how to get Avalon back!:ernae::ernae:
