• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

  • Server side Maintenance is done. We still have an update to the forum software to run but that one will have to wait for a better time.

got hit by storm on 12/10/08

Last wed. 12/10/08 in s.w. ga. we had a storm and my Computer got a hit! At the time I was connected thru a USP, but it knocked out all my usb ports and all my 7 in one card. I took My computer over to CircutCity in Dothan Al. and the tech tould that the mother baord took a hit and that it would have to be replaced.

I called the company at UPS and they are sending a new UPS. I also went back to Dothan Al. and went to Computer Doctor to have my mothboard replaced.
I have not been on line since the night of the storm. I am using my son's computer, and have not been able to do any flying. Boy I miss that. Has anyone out there have had to deal with the company on UPS?

As a matter of interest, to those of us across the Pond, and whose geography of state initials is not all that it might be, where exactly is Ga please??
