How are the Downloads Organised???

Looks like you finally got their attention!
I tried in numerous posts, but all in vain...
But now, it seems that we can get to the CFS1 download section without too much of a contorted procedure; Warbird's > Library > CFS Add-Ons Library > CFS 1 Add-Ons > CFS 1 Aircraft Add-Ons
Your Eindecker is in there...
Now I know who's having the ear of SOH staff here...

i agree with you 110%.
i can not understand why it is such a chore
to find anything in this place.
for me, the search process
is all but non-existent,
unless i know the exact name
of the file or the author,
or better yet, slog through every entry
until i find what i'm looking for.
honestly, i have all but given up.
whenever i want anything,
i usually mosey over to flightsim
and then move down my list of sites.
i am a firm believer in the KISS principle,
which doesn't seem to apply here.
maybe things have changed
since i last looked, but like i said,
i've given up

Believe it or not, Ivan, but the directions I gave are quite recent. Before your thread appeared, this path would have sent you to CFS1... archives!
This is why I was, still is in fact, under the impression that someone, somewhere, in SOH staff read when you write.
smilo, not being very acronym-minded myself, what does "KISS principle" means?
I would guess "Keep It Simple", but I'm missing an S.

You need not tell me that, I have spent hours searching for the stuff you did not send me, ALL the other sites are gone so I missed some of the older stuff and unlike "Smilo" I will not complain and simply wait on the next release. BUT I WILL NOT HAVE A PROBLEM IF YOU SPEEDED IT UP A BIT.

Actually, I still have everything I ever built with a couple exceptions from a disk crash years ago. (Annoying, but nothing very useful was lost there.) I take a periodic backup every couple years or so.
I still have everything I ever released or improved versions of them, but so far nothing that is there has really passed the current build standards, so are not getting released yet.

No big deal about complaining. We all do that about everything. This is a small community and if something annoys us, why not let folks know? That is why I started this thread to begin with.
Thanks for the compliments regarding the Tutorial. I am glad someone is getting some use out if it. I can tell you that there was more time spent in lining up and taking the screenshots than actually doing the work other than the actual Windshield Frame where if I actually took screenshots of the mess I had on the screen, most of the time it would be difficult to see what I was actually working on. I made a mess of parts for reference and 90% of them were not worth keeping. Imagine looking at the scraps and sawdust in a wood shop and trying to figure out what was being built.
Hope the Cockpit assembly lived up to what I told you earlier about it being relatively simple overall. Simple, but long and tedious. There are still two screenshots (CanopyFrame-Left and Right and the Glue that holds each in place) that I believe would have been useful to include, but I did not make them at the time. I will make and post those to clarify things a bit. Let me know if there is something specific that I should address.
Since the subject of standards came into discussion, I thought perhaps I should mention what the hangup is on the B-25C Mitchell: (There are actually two problems.)
1. I am having trouble assembling the transition area behind the cockpit in a manner that doesn't produce very noticeable bleeds.
2. The plane should be steerable by rudder alone on the bomb run. I can't get it NOT to bank when the plane is yawed. The plane had anhedral on the outter wing panels to address this specific problem.

i really like the wood shop analogy.
i am the type that has a hard time
throwing anything away.
be it paperwork, wood work,
or metal work, anything.
needles to say, it makes for quite a mess.
obviously, organization is the key
and the C205 project shows that you
are a master of organization.
to be honest, sometimes i have a hard time
seeing what is really going on
in some of the screen shots.
3d views make it much easier for me to see.
this is one of those instances
where i wish i had more time.
ideally, i would like to have been able
to follow along, while actually building
the model at the same time,
but at present, it just wasn't in the cards.
as for the B-25, obviously, i am of no help
in the model bleeding department,
or, for that matter, flight dynamics.
making bomb runs, well, i've done a bit of that.
without going over the top,
i've got to say, i was pretty good at it.
i pretty much used auto pilot to accomplish the task.
the key was to start the run from a good distance,
get the basic alignment and then,
make very fine heading adjustments to the target
in one or two degree AP course increments.
i never really messed with the rudder,
i just let the AP do the job for me.
i maybe mistaken, but as i recall,
a lot of aircraft bank a bit
when the rudder is used.
must be as quirk in the sim.
just a quick thought,
maybe your stick rudder
is setup too sensitive.
if you wouldn't mind,
send me a copy of the latest B-25.air
i'd like to take her out for a flight test.
i don't remember ever taking
her out for a bomb run.
i'll see if i can work it in with my chores.
we've got in-laws coming in a few days
for a long weekend visit.
we are going nuts,
trying to make this place presentable.
i could use a break.

What is kind of amusing about 3D Modelling is that often it is the small pieces of the airplane that take the most resources. The things to look for are the small rounded things like wing tips, and in this case the supercharger intake.
Hope I don't run out of resources.
