Ivan Jurcaga Mig-21MF soon! (now released)

Ok, I tested FM of Bob Chicilo ( ex. http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1&keywords=mig-21+update+mf&x=0&y=0 ) but still FM isnt right. I prefer this orginal than Bob (sorry Bob ;) ). Bob did good work with panel ect., but FM isnt realistic again. In 1 sec. You can do 5 barrels! Fly is very easy but MiG-21 isnt and wasnt easy aircraft at all. FM must be some like F-104, but with better possibility of maneuvers. Too easy to reach high speed too. With this update MiG is oversteer. I think FM of this MiG is still Achilles heel but the orginal one is still better but no perfect ...

To all "topgun" repainters

As you probably already know, "Eduard" released a few week ago a superb 1/48 scale Mig-21MF "High Class" multimedia kit with excellent and very realistic reference material for potential repaints on the instruction manual of this kit.

Here is some examples :

East Germany ( page 12 ) here :
http://www.eduard.cz/products/pdf/n84/84125.pdf

Egypt ( page 14 )
Czechoslovakia ( page 15 )
Slovakia ( page 16 )
Poland ( page 17 )
Soviet Union ( page 18 )
East Germany ( page 19 )
and
Aircraft Stencils ( page 20 )
here :
http://www.eduard.cz/products/pdf/n82/8231.pdf

You can for obvious reasons bypass the aircraft stencils !

Amazingly a friend and fellow pilot soloed himself in a Mig 21.... He had been involved in the restoration for a number of years and so knew the aircraft, at least the systems and bones. One of the items was indeed converting all of the placards etc to English.

Hi,

Very Great page! Thank you!!!

Agreed - there are some amazing repaints. His African countries' schemes are not only thorough, but also very convincingly done. Having a particular fondness for DACT training (especially the older F-5E and F-21 Kfir models the USN and USMC used), I really enjoyed seeing his American "what if" schemes - this one, with the large red lettering, in particular ...

Smart scheme, don't you think?

Well, if there are any manuals and at least one pilot report available I could make high quality FDs for the Mig-21 if there's enough demand.
It's for sure an interesting plane and I remember that I've read somewhere that full flap landings were only allowed after you aquired quite a few hours on the 21.
