This year Santa will be riding a MiG. Merry Christmas.

The Ryanair picture already shows it...Santa doesn't like airplanes :icon_lol:

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Santa lives in Rovaniemi, which is in Lapland, however Lapland is part from Finland...... Finland has been part of Russia from 1809 until 1919.
The image tells it all........ Santa without his reindeers :costumes:

Hmm, someone knows a lot about our history, there must be something suspicious happening :kilroy:

Mud, the city of Rovaniemi is actually on the polar circle and therefore you could say the town is at the North pole....
Here is the link to Santa's home page ==> link

Warbird; my daughter is just back from Finland. She was with friends in Turku and paid a small visit to Rovaniemi, where she actually visited the home of Santa.

Here in the Netherlands we don't believe in Santa Claus but we still have "Sint Nikolaas" who is a Katholic bisschop who came originally from Turkey, but lives in Spain for centuries already. We celebrate his birthday in a similar way at the 5th of december (although his real birthday is actually on December 6 ).

The Santa Claus tradition is actually based on our Saint Nicolas.

Breaking News!!

MudMarine, they're not Commie stars those are Christmas stars :icon_lol:

I'm most impressed with some of the posters' knowledge of all things Christmasy. Well done. Who can name Santa's reindeer .... without looking at Wikipedia?
