Real vs. FSX

So, who out there has photos of real planes, that you took, that represent planes you have in FSX? I'm in the middle of scanning photos I've taken over the years. When I came across this, taken as an NAS Lemoore air show in the 1980s, I realized “hey, I have an Alphasim FSX wingless lawn-dart that looks just like this one!” I have a couple more. I'm easily amused. :icon_lol:

I could probably find a lot more...

Here's another. The Real one is at the Lone Star Flight Museum in Texas. It was, at least, in the early 2000s when this was taken. The FSX one is from Sky Unlimited. I find it interesting how the two planes "sit" on the ground. The FSX one is leaned back a bit, like I've seen in so many photos of Lightnings in WW-II, while the LSFM one is level. Maybe fuel load?

Sometimes it works a bit different; I made the photo first, than bothered Huub to do a repaint!:

The incredibly beautiful restored Ju52/3m.

You can find this beautiful 1937 Ju52/3m In the Royal Museum in Brussels Belgium.

The planning was to restore it in flying conditions, however the lack of airworthy wings, kept it on the ground. Luckily I can fly it in FSX....

This is an awesome thread! :applause:

I've seen several of the Alphasim Long-EZ's as well as ones that Andy Nott painted at Airventure. Don't have any screenshots or photos of them though.

The Mike CYUL Red Supercub is pretty much like it's real world counterpart, as mike modeled my airplane down to each screw in the cockpit.

Cool pics! :) Here's another. RAZBAM A-7E. Location is Subic Bay, Philipines, on the ramp next to what was once called Midway Hangar.

Vulcan XH558...

Outstanding! The only thing missing is the sense of the Alien approaching, lasers and death rays armed and ready! (well, that's how I feel when I see the Vulcan XH558 approaching at a show - oooerr, missus!)
