I was wondering if the PMDG NGX allows one to jump right in and fly or does one have to go through the start-up sequence?

It is definitely not worth the 70 USD if that's what you want to do with it. Fly the default or a POSKY version. Don't waste your money.
The NGX is a serious simulation.
From what i'ver been seeing over there, the problems all revolve around the use of VNav and its inability to let go of control when you turn it off..
I can't say I've seen anything like that, in fact the VNAV implementation seems to be rock solid, the best in any FSX airliner I've seen yet.
What do you mean that it won't let go of control when you turn it off?
Wellll, look on the PMDG 737NGX forum.. When I got a reply from Ryan, he said that whatn they are looking at is the possibility that some of us with massive video setups and SLI are4 seeing issues with graphics memory being re-mapped to main memory and running FSX out of memory..I completely agree. I haven't run into any VNAV problems either. Their 737 simulation is WAY better than their 747 simulation. Not even close.
Pam, you might be having problems but there are plenty of people who have made many successful flights in her. I have over 24 hours of flight time with her now. You're making it sound like only a couple people can actually fly the thing.
Speaking of flying, I think I'm going to come up with a flight plan and get her back in the air.![]()
