Free Flight Menu

Addon Aircraft, sorry should have been more specific. When I go to select aircraft, some addon aircraft are listed and some are not. I know how to add them to "Quick Combat" but is there something similar you have to do for "Free Flight" as well.

If the aircraft is flyable, it most appear when you are in free flight! If it doesn't appear check in the aircraft folder, may in the sound or panel folder is something lacking.

T Square,

Most likely, this could be a combination of factors. First, it be a problem with sound or panel alaising (in layman's terms, the .cfg is directing the sim to use something else that doesn't exist, such as the sound pack for a A6M2 Zero if you've removed it)

However, it can also be that the aircraft is set for "AI only." To fix this, you would have to use a program like AirEd and check line 105 to make sure it is set as "0," rather than another number.

(Be sure to download the latest aired.ini file as well.)

*.cfg or *.cgf

I noticed also that some aircraft come from downloading with the wrong extension for aircraft.cfg.:mixedsmi:
This may be due to the use of the utlity program thal allows you to have some many planes and to select the right war theater (mk_cfs2_util.exe). If the author has used this utility, you may get aircraft.cgf. To fix that, you just have to change the extension to the right one (*.cfg).
