Warrant

Videre Vincere Est
For those who have nothing to do and want to watch a nice airshow; watch this:

http://luchtmachtdagen.rijksoverheidsvideo.nl/

Air Force Open-days, Leeuwarden AB, The Netherlands.

You might want to check the same link tomorrow during daytime as well, since it will be life-fed (0900-1700 GMT+1, friday 16th and saturday 17th of September)........:salute::wavey:
(outside the time-bracket there will be a compilation of the event).

Thanks for the link Rene, I have watch a while. Not really "being there" but a very nice alternative!

Cheers,
Huub

Yep...especially since it's raining cats and dogs at the air base........:icon_lol:

Just a few drops...

:mixedsmi:

Nothing as bad like it was after 17:30 today, by which time we were back in the bus to the car! Great timing!

Magnificent! Been there both days?

Noteworthy are the flames from the portside smokewinder at the RNLAF Orange demo F-16.

Yep, a smokewinder and a flamewinder!

We booked a bed & Breakfast in a nearby village so we didn't have to drive 800 kilometers in two days. Unfortunately we ran into car troubles on Friday so we missed most of the morning program.

The weather was OK with only a bit of rain after 3PM on Saturday, the show was a bit 'meh' I guess. Too many cancellations (BBMF Spit & Hurricane, Alenia G-27, Danish Solo F-16, Patrulla Aguila) so a few gaps in the program. The Red Arrows did appear, but with one ill pilot so they didn't perform on Friday and with only four aircraft on Saturday. The new airpower demo was too long and boring (Must be the lack of actual airpower!).
Highlights: The Hunters, the Polish MiG-29, Finnish F-18, the Italian Typhoon, the Black cats, and the Patrouille de France (Friday only).
