Hi Everyone;
Through one of Rami's recent posts, I saw the AVG campaign here at the Sim Outhouse.
I downloaded it and Rami's video addition, and found most of the planes needed; but the following still elude me:
* KM_P-40E_V5
* Japanese Army Ki-48 "Lily" (supposed to be found on the netwings site, but of course it is down.)
Any assistance would be appreciated.
I have personal reason to want to play this campaign. I went to school with Curtiss Redmond. It was he that got me hooked on aviation and planes; his favorite was the F4U Corsair.
He came down with cancer his sophmore year of high school. On a flight to go try out an experimental cancer treatment, he got to sit with none other than Pappy Boyington. Pappy signed and gave Curtiss this poster, which depicts him scoring his first victory.
Curtiss passed away from a heart attack (probably from the steriods they were giving him as part of his treatment) in about November of 1982; Boyington died a few years later. I was able to keep this poster and a book on the Corsair, among other items. (He was living with his grandparents at the time, who let us have anything and everything we wanted.)
I purchased my first computer, a Commodore 64, a few years later. Curtiss would have been blown away by the Corsair in FS, and by this campaign. My boys have grown up with this poster, this will give me a chance to "bring it to life."
