Boy ole boy, I'd love nothing more than to justify the purchase. John, your mustangs are the crem' dela crem'. I wish I could indulge. Unfortunately that's a big chunk for me when I've had other plans for quite some time.

I'm sorry Don for not responding sooner. From my understanding, the sale will be running until the end of next week.
 
Really? "Never again"? That's a real shame. I have been looking at these for a while now, but sadly, I have to use the cash for other things. This type of sale is something that would really bring me in normally. I wonder if there's plenty of others in my same position? I would hope that "Never again" doesn't really mean never...plus if you ran it again at some point it will do just the same thing, bring in others who normally wouldn't! Well that's my attempt to change the stars! :) Fabulous aircraft indeed!
 
I just had to add this here...

This decal company has utilized a few screenshots of the cockpits on Warbirdsim's P-51D's, for use in guiding model builders/customers of their cockpit decals set for the Tamiya 1/32 P-51D, as to the proper locations for the decals...this is an actual copy of the instruction guide included with the decals. (note that they did some odd editing, such as adding their own (non-correct) version of the warning placard on the top of the instrument panel, and they removed the modern radio set (restored variant) and added their own fuel gage (the seat blocks the actual gage, in the angle shown) to the screenshot in the bottom left corner).

I agree. Too bad, a sudden announcement, during a time when a lot of people are short on free cash, with just a two week time frame on a major, high dollar deal. "Never again?" That's pretty final, I guess.

Nothing against you or your work, John, which is, as always, fantastic. I wish I could jump on this right now, but won't have the kind of money needed for the even sale price, let alone the full price, anywhere near that soon. I am sure there are a very, very many others in the same boat. Will have to pass, I guess.
