Upcoming Iris PC-9 Repaint

With the release of the Iris PC-9 as freeware I thought I'd look around for some repaints for it and found very little available. So I dusted off the paint cans and started on a fictional repaint only to discover the reason why there are so few repaints for it! The paintkit is a bear to work with! I haven't seen one like this in a long time. :isadizzy:

I finally got to the end after a lot of swearing and frustration and almost gave up a couple of times in between.

The scheme is a 'what if' scenario based on what the PC-9 might have looked like if the RAF had gone with that one instead of the Short's Tucano. I did a similar 'what if' thing with Piglet's Super Tucano but that was for four schemes including a WWII style camo scheme but I doubt that will be possible on the PC-9 without a lot of fussing around.

This is what it looks like:

If anyone is interested in it I will upload it here.

looks like a chippie's big brother :icon_lol:
LOL...it does a bit doesn't it! :icon_lol:

I have a soft spot for that red/white scheme as I flew in a few chippies wearing it as a teenager (I had a few flights in the silver/dayglo orange scheme too).

Thanks for the interest guys, I still have all the spec maps to update and need to package everything up with a 'read me' so look for it in a day or so.

The spec maps and final touches took much less time than I anticipated and the repaint has now been uploaded to the library here.

Enjoy!
