File Library Search

Is there a step-by-step "how to find an aircraft in the SOH library" somewhere?

I don't know if it exists here, but for example where would you look to find an FS2004 Gloster Gladiator?

I know what you mean about the search function, It makes me crazy sometimes. It's the only thing about SOH that gets my goat. There are times I've searched by manufacturer's name or designation and been told there are no results and then found them randomly when searching for something else and other times when I run a search with the same input twice and get different returns each time:isadizzy:

Hmm, gotta put MY oar in the water here; recently tried to pick up a plane which I was told was here. Could NOT find it tho' I spent over an hour looking. Finally someone from another forum (which shall remain nameless here) took pity on my lack of success and sent me the model I wanted. After actually looking at the zip file I found it here right away. Search, bah, humbug !!

Good morning,

In the Warbirds archive, the search is relatively easy. In the new library, not so much. I have an idea on how to fix it, but need to talk to Canelo about HTML coding.

However, right now I am swamped by real-life work. (I am a high school educator by trade) When things calm down, perhaps on a weekend, I will speak with Canelo about seeing if we can work on a few things regarding the library section.

I guess most of us would say the same thing....mostly just need to be able to search with wild cards in the zip name. Maybe that's much more involved than it seems ?:wavey:

Thanks UTgt, it was just a sample search example I used, and it struck me there was no way you could search SOH for a particular aircraft type, which is a shame.
The question has been answered, perhaps it will be on a future to-do list to enable this.
