No Engine Sound in G55sI giallo in Hobbitt BOE 41-45 Mission Set

Have Owen's 'Hobbit Missions', BOE 41-45 Mission Set in ETO. Its a beautiful aircraft and flies perfectly in ETO, except there is no engine sound (just background).

But the engine sound works perfectly in a 'butchered' CFS3 version with Firepower.

I was wondering if anyone else had the same thing? Maybe its just some form of corruption or problem in my ETO install. I have reloaded 2 or 3 times and once with current install used the ORIFS installer to correct a mistake; but the install is behaving fne now, otherwise.

Any comments or clues from anyone would be appreciated. I maybe just worrying about details, but it would be nice to go.
 
sound alias problem me thinks..
open the aircraft folder and find the g55 folder. in there is the sound folder.
open it and then open the sound cfg file to see what plane the g55 takes it's sound from.
might look something like this
[fltsim]
alias=DR_Engine_Sounds\BR_Engine_Merlin_ MKII\sound
you can just copy a stock cfg and place it in there to use the sound of that ac.
did I make any sense???
 
Yep; makes sense ok. Have n't done it yet, but you gave me the clue: just replace with known good sound cfg. file. Once you know what your looking for!

"Double Taa ..........." It sure will help. It' a nice little aircraft. Very kind and quick.

Put it in, it DOES work fine in both sims. Fixing lots of things today. Progress is wonderful!!!!!! Thanks again for the magic.

Your fixed TOW is pretty special too.................

The TOW missions are Thanks to O1-Driver and the ETO/PTO team..
They built all the cool things used..

I just built the missions..
And I am pleased they allowed me to post this this set for ETO..

My part in this is rather small compared to what it takes to build all of the items used..
