The FsX version is coming along nicely, but we need someone to count a few rivets for us...... :d

VERY nice, indeed!

Will we be able to 'count the rivets' on both engine nacelles from the VC? ...Assuming one changes seats, of course :)

To answer a few question first, before they are even asked: ;)

-It will not be a free update, but it will be reasonably priced and all the proceeds will once again go to the museum to keep the real thing flying.

-There have been negotiations with Flight1 to release a box set with both versions.

-Old liveries will not fit on the new model, however Tim's already busy redoing some of his old work as I understand.

-We are also working on including the new gauges that have been installed in the real thing, which were partially paid by your generous donations! :applause: Without those it would not be allowed or even possible to fly this particular DC-2 today.

All textures and animations (105, right Rob..?) will need to be redone and some parts of the model will be enhanced in the process.
Since I don't have the latest builds I will only give you a few slightly editted teasers to show the aircraft is in fact now a true FsX model:

Oh damn, another one of those mighty fine looking payware birds! Now if it´s for such a good cause, one might have to think about it sometime! Looks plain stunning in those screens, beautiful scenes!

Oh, I so look forward to this one!! :jump:

Even the current version, despite being an FS2004 model, is still one of my very favorite planes in FSX.

Please get that Braniff repaint ready, Tim! :ernae:

cheers,
steve :wavey:
