Afnor - Morocco realized!

Jean,

I'm very happy to report that everything is working beautifully. Thankyou very much for this wonderful scenery. I love the attention to detail, such as the rough undulating strip at Fedala, the river with the ship wrecks, the river valley leading up to the reservoir and of course Rick's Cafe Americaine in the Casbah. Well done!

Kevin

Ok, problem solved, squares gone, everything fine! :jump:......

Good news :applause:

That was the oued.bmp, the only one texture file I needed to add in the Afnor_scen/texture, I've missed it in the first zip uploaded, so I've edited and updated the Afnor_Morocco.zip in the library.

I wanted let the time for Rami to land on the base quietly.

Jean Bomber,

Now that I'm home and getting settled, I will install Afnor Morocco, but I have to uninstall my beta files and reinstall the ones in the package, that may take me a few minutes! :guinness:

Jean Bomber,

I was able to install the updated scenery with no problems. Very well done! :salute:

Now, I do have one question...any news on the scenery at Bizerte, or any other updates?

YEAH!

Happy to report everything looks gorgeous here as well! :jump:

So it was just a small river texture, that's where the spiderweb pattern of those ugly squares came from! The missing textures were following the winding course of a river.
I am flying on my main pc on the other side of the desk as I am writing, (Rami knows my layout...) and I can't believe how real this scenery looks like.

Never mind the fantastic towns, casbahs, villages and airfield facilities, look at just the beach and the whole shoreline: it looks photoreal!!!

You created a monster Jean, who wants to go fly somewhere else in CFS2 world? I'll do Operation Torch over and over again, just for the scenery!

I guess I'll keep Morocco installed as a separate scenery at this point; it makes it easy for me to identify the files for each part of the whole Afnor collection.

I had the same thing happen Skylane. I solved it by putting the 046TC_LC_046_019.bgl and GB_LC_046_019.bgl back in to the Afnor_Scen/scenery folder .
Worked for me, though I don't know why. Try it, might work.

Well I'm happy that's all work now ,that was the only one texture I've had to add at the Afnor scen and I've missed it ! :kilroy:

Hi Andrew look at my location ,it's where I am today in cfs2 to complete the Tunisian part to make the joint with the pellagics ,about the delay ...I will try to do it the more faster I could :running: :salute:

Thanks JB

I am going to put this into my Mediterranean and SCW installs. Why SCW? Just to have somewhere to go while flying over Gibralter. :applause::applause::applause:

Now I have another problem... sorry:
Those squares have appeared around Gibraltar.

Hi Skylane these squares are about vtp1,here surely a missing texture, line or poly.
here a screenie with the texture there are in the original folders....in case of...that's working on a fresh install for me.....
So I don't understand why you have this issue I've not altered this sceneries since I've uploaded AfnorI...?..try to reinstall them ....
you can also replace the curved JB_road_asp.bmp and JB_road_dirt.bmp by those they are in the afnor_bases sceneries they had been updated in the Pantelleria-pelagics zip and are now more right

I include screenies of my scenery library - maybe the hierarchy of the various sceneries is the problem?
The Gibraltar scenery worked before in this install..

looking the hierarchy I think You can put the both Gibraltar sceneries upper with the Afnor bases and you can also put the lod 9 to the bottom just upper the Rhumba's dem8 dem7 dem5 .

JP

I have found the cause of my problem with Gibraltar: Some files from the main texture folder of the install were lost.
I copied them in from another one, and now everything is back to normal.

Jean, once again, thank you for your work! :ernae:

Hi Jean Bomber,

I have a question: Does the base called AF-Casablanca in the airfield list belong to your package?. I have a big black square where it should be placed, and I have no idea on what texture should I search to fix it.

View attachment 56677

EDIT: OK, I'm pretty sure that this base is not on your Morocco download, so it must be in one of Achim's packages. But I can't find it.

Japlance,

That's now in Achim's North African airfields package in the new library. Those .bgl and texture files should be removed, because they conflict with Jean Bomber's new scenery.

Thanks, Rami, I've removed it so no more black holes in Morocco :icon_lol:, but that AF-Casablanca airfield is not in the Achim's North Africa files. It is the first place where I looked, and wasn't there, so I downloaded the file here in the library again, and definitely it's not there.

I'm puzzled by where did I get that airfield from, but anyway, it is not related to Jean Bomber's magnificent job.
